Academic Advisor

At the beginning of each academic period, every newly admitted postgraduate student is assigned an Academic Advisor, who supports the student’s academic course and facilitates communication and guidance throughout the programme.

Academic guidance

The Academic Advisor provides guidance on the structure and operation of the programme and supports students in making informed academic choices.

Communication and support

Students are informed personally by email about communication arrangements and may contact their advisor for meetings, advice and academic support.

Confidentiality and trust

Discussions between students and Academic Advisors are confidential and personal data are protected throughout the advisory process.

Assignment of Academic Advisors

Who serves as advisor

Academic guidance

Special Cases

Long-term absence of advisor
In the event of a lecturer’s long-term absence, such as educational leave, suspension of duties or health reasons, the Secretariat of the Postgraduate Programme assigns a new Academic Advisor to the affected students. :contentReference[oaicite:10]{index=10}
Request for change
In exceptional cases, postgraduate students may request a change of Academic Advisor by submitting a written explanation of the reasons to the Director of the MSc. Each request is considered individually. :contentReference[oaicite:11]{index=11}
Insufficient response
