In the context of the Master's Program, the following are characterized as complementary activities:
In collaboration with the Undergraduate Studies Program, the creation of the Department's website, which provides all useful information about the objectives and operation of the Department, as well as sufficient information about the undergraduate study program and the corresponding postgraduate program of the Department of Theater Studies.
Participation of the Master's Program in the European Network of Research and Documentation of Ancient Greek Drama Performances.
In the framework of the publicity of the Postgraduate Studies Program of the Department of Theater Studies, the following actions are carried out, which aim at the global promotion of the activities of the Postgraduate Studies Program as well as of the postgraduate students themselves, both of the 1st and 2nd cycle of studies.
As part of the series of lectures, speeches are given by foreign and Greek collaborators of the Master's Program.
As part of the Master's Program, conferences and seminars are organized, with the active participation of the postgraduate students of the Program. In this way, they are provided with the possibility of promoting their research project, which is carried out during their postgraduate studies, contributing to the wider scientific research that is carried out around the science of theatre.
The contribution of the postgraduate studies program to the publication of the scientific bulletin of the Department of Theater Studies Paravasis/Parabasis, which includes the latest findings of theatrical research and book reviews from the international literature, is particularly evident. The publication is accompanied by summaries in English, and aims to create a stage for the exchange of ideas with the participation of scientists from different scientific fields and from different European countries, with the subject of modern Greek theater issues.
Paravasis is a periodical published by the Department of Theater Studies of the University of Athens, which responds to an old request and aspires to fill a noticeable gap, with the presence of a purely scientific journal in the field of theater research, especially modern Greek theater. With the introduction of theater studies, as a separate scientific discipline, in Greek universities and the proliferation of research activities and findings around the history and theory of modern Greek theater, the need for such a journal became imperative. Paravasis is published by the members of the teaching staff of the Department of Theater Studies of EKPA, it publishes their research papers, as well as the results of research at the postgraduate level, but it is also open to collaborations with other university and extra-university areas, both internally and externally abroad. Transgression is published from the 11th volume in digital format.
