Takis Tzamargias was born in Piraeus. He graduated from the Higher School of Dramatic Art of the Piraeus Association and holds a degree from the Department of Primary Education of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
He holds a postgraduate degree from the same Department with a specialisation in “Theatre in Education” and is a PhD candidate at NKUA.
His professional career combines university teaching, acting education, theatre directing and theatre-in-education practice.

- For 15 years, he served as resident director of the Keratsini Municipal Theatre Stage.
- Founder of the theatre company “West of the City”.
- Artistic Director of the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus from 2013 to 2015.
