Kostas Gakis is a musician, director, actor, dramaturg and writer. He was born in Athens in 1977 and has developed a multifaceted artistic career centred on theatre and music.
He is devoted to the art of theatre through a wide range of creative roles, working as a writer, composer, actor, director and teacher.

“Idea” Theatre Company
Since 2012, he has been a member of the
“Idea” Theatre Company, together with
Athina Moustaka and Konstantinos Bimpis.
Alfa Theatre
In 2016, together with Konstantinos Bimpis and
Lefteris Plaskovitis, he took over the Alfa Theatre,
which became the theatrical home of the “Idea”
theatre company.
“Sui Generis” Artistic Collective
In 2008, he founded the artistic collective
“Sui Generis”, a workshop dedicated
to theatrical experimentation and creative exploration.

- Diploma in classical guitar, having studied with Vassilis Kanaras.
