The governance and operation of the MA programme are based on the institutional
framework in force and are supported by the competent academic bodies of the
Department of Theatre Studies.
Department Assembly
The Department Assembly is one of the competent bodies responsible for
the operation of the MA programme.
Coordinating Committee
The Coordinating Committee monitors and coordinates the academic and
administrative operation of the programme.
Programme Secretariat
The Secretariat provides day-to-day administrative support for admissions,
records, electronic services and committee assistance.

of the MA programme are the Department Assembly and the

Department Assembly
The Department Assembly is one of the two main bodies responsible for

Coordinating Committee
The Coordinating Committee consists of the Director of the MA Programme
and four faculty members or professors emeriti of the Department whose
academic field is relevant to the programme and who undertake teaching
responsibilities in it. Its members are appointed by decision of the

Responsibilities of the Coordinating Committee
Academic and financial coordination
The Coordinating Committee is responsible for monitoring and coordinating
the operation of the MA programme, including budget drafting, financial

Teaching and curriculum
It recommends the allocation of teaching duties, the invitation of
Visiting Professors, amendments to the curriculum and the redistribution

Academic improvement
The Committee also addresses matters related to the academic improvement

Director of the MA Programme
Appointment
The Director must be a faculty member of the Department, preferably
a full or associate professor, and is appointed by the Department

Main role
The Director chairs the Coordinating Committee, convenes meetings,
submits proposals to the Department Assembly and acts as the Scientific

Additional duties
The Director monitors the implementation of programme decisions and
internal regulations, including budget execution, and performs any
other duty defined in the programme’s founding decision. The Director
and the members of the Coordinating Committee receive no remuneration
